Vault entrance door was badly rotten due to lack of gutter and lead flashing above allowing water to ingress above the door frame. All rotten wood was removed until healthy wood was found. New timber was inserted and spliced into existing frame. Door and frame were then sanded down, primed with a zinc based undercoat and painted in the colour provided by the client. Linseed oil putty was replaced around the windows where it has been removed due to damage. Lead flashing on the roof above the entrance was replaced and a new gutter installed to better manage the water.
